Bear with me if this seems a bit long – it’s to your advanatage. I’m giving everything away!
I’m not just out of prison, been homeless, wrestled with my conscience, seen the light, “stumbled” upon a brilliant idea, been a fighter pilot, secret agent – ok, you get the idea!
In fact, I’m probably just like you – trying and aiming to make a success of this IM business!
You’ll see me starting from scratch – well almost. I’m a member of Turbomembership.com, I’ve got the core version of the Delavo content management system and this blog. I’ve just set up a first squeeze page and product: System7Gold. Next product in February. I’ve been online IM-wise for 2 years.
Oh, yeah, yesterday I bought into Twittollower. So still seeing how it’ll go. Made my first big mistake with it - see my post Big Mistake! But it’s been working excellently so far!
You’re going to get the warts and all of my progress – successes and failures, dummy actions, flops, dead ends. I’ll tell you what I’m doing to make progress – I’ve no mentor/coach and never had one. If I do I’ll let you know!
So, why am I doing this?
I’m testing 2 things:
1 Is it possible to make a certain amount of money (not to be disclosed yet, and no, it’s not a million!) in 1 year from nothing? Ok, almost nothing.
2 Have things really changed in IM because of the Web 2.0 effect? Some “gurus” would claim Web 2.0 isn’t all that important – compared to email marketing and search marketing. Are some of them looking a little old-fashioned – dare I say this?!
Also, it seemed it might be good fun!
Many of you will be basically in my position – so let’s see if we can learn about making some good money along the way. I hope I’ll be able to help you even if it’s only what to avoid!
Posts, I think, will be about every day or 2 – part web log and part helpful articles etc.
